Herrenscar Harbour
A 4ft x 1ft shunting layout, whose main feature will be a dockside line, with small fishing boats one side and a steam boat the other. I have just begun work on a Langley "Clyde Puffer" kit for this, adapted to take ferry passengers to a nearby island, as well as cargo.
Another feature will be a kipper smoking factory (with siding, of course), where some of the herring catch goes. Its name is to be "Cottleston Kippers", with grateful thanks to A. A. Milne.
Herrenscar Harbour is booked to appear three times so far in 2012: on May 26th at the AGM of the N Gauge Society in Cotgrave, Nottingham; at the N Gauge show in Leamington on September 8th and 9th; and at the Braunstone show on November 3rd. So I'd better get it finished!
