My first three weeks were spent in and around Johannesburg, as a guest of Bishop Peter Lee (Christ the King Diocese, south of the city) and Robin and Bridget Walton, who had looked after the Cathedral Choir in 1997.

Ash Wednesday: Bishop Peter is tested for HIV.	Retreat at St Benedict’s with Sister Maureen and friends.
